G7 - acronym for Gallery 7

G7 is a result of the human-computer interaction. There, the audience has the opportunity of freely moving around and simultaneously painting a drawing with one of the seven colors of the rainbow. Each individual will be given the chance of creating his/her own drawing. The final drawing, however, will result from the interaction of seven different experiences.
The goals of G7 are:

- to create an exhibition which will be the result of an interaction between the public and the installation;
- to stimulate the creativity of the audience.
- to reflect about the art creation process, the notion of authorship and the short life of arts.
- to test the technology with the aesthetic and metaprocessual fruition.

This installation is divided in three parts:

The hall // there the movements of the viewer/co-author are traced by a webcam and the viewer can create a painting in real time and he/she is given a color, sequentially given by the software. If no one is there nothing happens.

The gallery // there the seven last drawings are displayed (with date, time) sequencially after being completed.

Online // the third part of this work consists of an online exhibition of the drawings made at the installation. The viewer can take note (date, time) of the drawings to search them at the provided website – www. g7.pt.la. Therefore the audience can save it as a way of keeping the experience at the G7 alive.
